Or are they just incredibly gimped? I could very easily beat a bunch of these missions if we could use some other types of armour. But when the AI starts throwing T34's and KV1's at us we need to use the AT Guns. In the campaign the Germans got all sorts of really cool tanks like Tigers/Panthers, yet in the Theater of War all we apparently get is a 2 tanks: An anti infantry Stug (that is absolute garbage) and an anti-infantry Pz4 (which is really expensive but decent). They can typically get in range before they are pinned, or worst case one becomes pinned then another just runs up and wipes out our MG's. It is like a mass zergling rush of conscripts, which we can defeat them up until each and every single one of them have flamethrowers and then we have no idea what to do. The most single annoying thing in the theater of war missions is that the AI just loves to throw ~6+ squads of conscripts at positions, but doesn't even to try to stop instead they run, behind our cover then try and shoot us from behind. I have finished a few of the solo Theater of War Russian missions, but in the German missions i am just completely at a loss. With the game going on sale i re-installed the game, and played through the campaign on general, and found it pretty easy overall.
